Radio Data Comms – Newsletter – November 2010
Radio Data Comms is pleased to announce major enhancements to the Permaconn GPRS Network and new GPRS hardware that is available now.
DUAL ACTIVE RECEIVERS
Central Stations can now have ALL Permaconn GPRS / IP receivers on-line at all times. Signals will arrive at all ports simultaneously, but will not be duplicated. Any network issues no longer require any operator intervention to overcome. [read more]
IP VIRTUAL RECEIVER SOFTWARE MODULE
RDC now have available a software bundle pack that enables the Central Station to receive all Permaconn events via IP, direct from the secured Permaconn servers. [read more]
PM1025 GPRS OUTSTATION
Another unit to add to the Permaconn outstation line-up. The PM1025 is modelled off the existing PM1020, in addition it has four (4) supervised inputs & three (3) outputs, why not make use of this unit in situations where an alarm panel may have previously been required? [read more]
IP INTERFACE (IP-62)
Another interface module that is designed for the PM1020 & PM1025 outstations. Using this module will enable IP primary communications with either SINGLE SIM or DUAL SIM redundant paths of communications. One key advantage with Permaconn IP (IP primary) is the outstation is constantly logged onto the GPRS network, ensuring if the IP connection is lost - comms will INSTANTLY be available. Remember all ISP’s only offer a ‘best effort service’! The IP62 module is ‘backward’ compatible to all PM1020 outstations that are already installed. [read more]
POLL PLANS
RDC now have available 13 data plans, ranging from C2 (IP only) right up to C5 (IP & DUAL SIMS). This now enables the installer to tackle all market segments looking to invest in a more secure form of alarm transmission or simply have no POT’s connections within their home or business. [read more]
DISASTER RECOVERY CONTROL (DRC)
Central Stations are becoming increasingly aware that some form of Disaster Recover Control is required in the event of an emergency evacuation within their control room. RDC now have a solution whereby simply on the ‘click of a button’ all relevant Permaconn signals are instantly routed to a partnered Central Station, thus ensuring full redundancy! [read more]
BOSCH SECURITY DISTRIBUTION & PARTNERSHIP
RDC are proud to announce that Bosch Security has also been appointed a national distributor of all Permaconn hardware. In addition to this distribution arrangement the Permaconn network can be used as a ‘gateway’ for all Bosch 16i + CM750B LAN module signals reporting on the secured proprietary format (Conettix NNC). All Permaconn enabled Central Stations can now receive this format without installing additional receivers. [read more]
