Radio Data Comms established mid 1999 - is a privately owned, hi-tech electronics manufacturer, specialising in the design and development of radio alarm data communication products. Our relentless endeavors over the years have helped mould many of the services and concepts used by the security back to base industry, including high quality, easy-to-install, reliable, and inexpensive GPRS monitoring.

Permaconn was the first GPRS back to base system of its kind in Australia, and signifies the culmination of innovation, problem solving, and a pledge to excellence – all of which are key components of the Radio Data Comms operation. Dedicated engineers monitor the network around-the-clock. Constantly striving to surpass client and industry expectations, Radio Data Comms remains a unique, ever-evolving organisation dedicated to being the Security industries foremost GPRS provider.

Radio Data Comms head office is in Sydney, Australia, and we are 100% Australian owned with our products designed and manufactured here in Australia. Currently we have Permaconn networks set up in Australia, New Zealand, Philippines, Canada and South Africa. We operate mainly through distributors in the Global market.

Compliance Certification to New Zealand Standard AS/NZ 2201.5-2008

Radio Data Comms is proud to announce that Permaconn has its compliance certification to New Zealand Standard AS/NZ 2201.5-2008, Alarm Transmission Systems, for all Classes 1, 2, 3 and 4 of the Standard. (view certificate)

The comprehensive audit, including verification of network availability, was completed by AUSTEST Laboratories – an independent, privately owned Australian testing and certification ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory. AUSTEST believe this is to date the most comprehensive system audit performed of a Class 4 system.

Although we have always been compliant, the certification is simply a formal stamp of approval. This means that insurance companies will readily accept the installation of the Permaconn system for high risk premises.
